Today in Forest School we looked at how important the River Nile was in Ancident Egyptian times for transporting people and goods. We looked at pictures of early boats and how they were made out of papyrus reeds. We then had a go at making our own from sticks. We had a competition to see whose boat could carry the most stones without sinking. The winners are pictures, please see below!

3/4 HD enjoyed their Easter Forest School session in lovely Spring sunshine. They took part in an Easter Egg hunt, Spring picture hunt, egg box scavenger hunt and also decorated eggs with natural materials. Please see below pictures of 3/4HD enjoying this session.

Year 3 and 4 have been looking at Stone Age houses found in Skara Brae on the Orkney Islands in their history work. In Forest School they have enjoyed making shelters of their own based on the round houses they have studied.
